Basil essential oil has many healing properties including the ability to treat nausea, motion sickness, indigestion, stomach pains, stomach cramps, constipation, respiratory problems, and diabetes.

Basil essential oil is used topically and massaged into the skin by mixing with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil. This will help to treat acne and other skin ailments. It also adds a healthy glow to hair and skin.

If you want to blend basil oil with some other essential oils, the following are great selections to do so: bergamot, clary sage, clove bud, geranium, lime, lemon, hyssop, eucalyptus, neroli, rosemary and lavender.
